The name we gave this set accurately describes the knight with its fierce countenance captured by the detailed sculpture of its perked ears, eyes, nose, and mouth. This is a large set ideally suited for club and tournament play with a 4 tall king and a base diameter of 1.75. Pieces are made from golden rosewood and boxwood and are heavily weighted for exceptional stability on the chess board. Thick green baize pads on the bottom create a soft cushion and allow the pieces to slide smoothly across the chess board. From top to bottom the pieces have a graceful profile and elegant shape creating a cohesive design from king to pawn.
