Being quick and staying ahead of the lawman is what made Robin Hood such an effective counter to the kleptocracy of King John. He was able to get in and out of all John???s traps and tricks and he usually had no trouble taking the money, prizes, and prisoners, too!
Those are all characteristics that make him a very good icon for the poor and downtrodden, but we still do not recommend trying to emulate him too closely today. Being a foxy rogue is a lot harder than people think!
