50s Fever We love everything about the 50s. Those great big sleek cars. The guys with hair gelled to the nines and duck-tails. Sock hops, jitterbugs, and poodle skirts. Drive-ins and ice-cream trucks. But best of all? The 50s food scenes. We're talking diners. Malt shops. Carry out. And, of course, carhops.?? There's something so delightfully 50s about carhops. Maybe it was those cute little aprons and hats. The possibility of roller skates? A ton of hot-rods lined up in neat little rows? We can just imagine the smells of juicy burgers and salty fries wafting through the air as windows are lit by menu signs. Yup. It's official. If we didn't make a living making amazing costumes for one-and-all, we'd want to work at a carhop.?? Fun Details And working at the carhop, we'd get to wear fun uniforms of course. Something like this Womens Car Hop Costume. This 100 percent polyester uniform is in red and white pinstripes. The dress has red buttons down the front of the bodice and a crisp white lapel (there's a zipper in the right side seam to make it easier to get into!). The white apron has a cute ruffled edge and has self-fabric waist ties. The fancy little hat (called a soda jerk cap, no joke) matches with red and white pinstripes and has a white turned-up cuff. All we'd need is a pad of paper, pen, and maybe some roller skates and we'd be in business! Dine In You know what? We might have to pass on those roller skates. We're not the most coordinated people and it'd probably be a bad idea to trust us with plates full of food??while??we're on wheels. But hey, if you think you can handle the adorable outfit??and??roller skates, please be our guest.
